“With Deltalevures, I have improved the digestibility of the ration!” [Breeder testimony]
Objective “less waste in the dung”: visible results from 5 weeks
I was looking to improve the digestibility of the ration to reduce waste in the dung. My technician suggested that I carry out a trial using a Deltalevures protocol. Deltalevures is a mineral feed that provides live yeast at the required dose (50 billion CFU/cow/day). After a 5-week trial, I noticed that milk gains were moderate but the cows’ appetite was better. I also noticed a better transition to the new maize silage, with less variation in milk production and quality than usual.
Deltalevures trial: protocols and results
Distribution of Deltalevures: 5 weeks before the opening of the new silo of maize silage, including the first 2 weeks at double dose to anticipate the silo transition, then the last 3 weeks at normal dose (50 g/day/dairy cow).
Result: improved rumen digestion.
- A break-even point for Deltalevures from 0.26 l of milk/dairy cow/day
I am therefore very satisfied with Deltalevures and the order to renew the product has been placed.
- Break-even point for Deltalevures = 0.26 litres of milk/dairy cow/day.
