With Bufflo Tonic Axion®, a better interval between calving and vigorous calves! [Breeder testimony]
What are the farm’s current technical objectives?
“As a breeder-fattener, our goals are to improve the fertility of our suckler cows and to group calvings as much as possible. We aim for 1 calf per cow per year. Today, our calvings take place over 3 months, from the end of October to mid-January.”
Why did you choose to work with Bufflo Tonic Axion®?
“When our nutritionist from EMC2 (a French cooperative) presented Bufflo Tonic Axion® to us with its results on breeding and calving, we wanted to try it out. We noticed fewer “empty” cows and calvings that went better with less placental retention. The interval between calving improved and the calves were also more vigorous. In short, the trial was conclusive, so we continued… and it’s been going on for 20 years now!”
How do you use Bufflo Tonic Axion®?
“We distribute Bufflo Tonic Axion® twice a year to our Charolais cows: at the beginning of winter, to support calving, and 15 days before breeding, at a dose of 100 g/day, 2 days a week. We also give it to our breeding bulls as soon as they enter the cowshed.”
